TOKYO: Aoyama Flower Market Tea House

I've always loved flowers since young. My grandmother had green fingers and she used to plant roses in her gardens. I remember her prized flower was this white rose my mom and I specially smuggled  ( because you can't bring in any livestocks/plants into singapore) from Malaysia's Cameron highlands to Singapore when I was a little girl.
Eh if I confess to this now, I wouldn't be charged anymore right since it's such a long time ago :/

And... I've always received red roses for Valentine's ever since secondary school days hahahah.
And... I've always received hydrangeas etc. during school performances from fans friends
And... I've received wild flowers for my graduation.
EH, DON'T LOOK DOWN ON WILD FLOWERS OK. Somehow it's really quite expensive in Australia. Idk why maybe cause they're aboriginal flowers and not immigrants flowers?? hmmm...

So Nick and I just had to make a trip down to Aoyama Flower Market for the instagram experience since we heard so many good things about it.
The front of the tea house is a flower market, you can see many flower arrangements and the flowers were organised according to their colours

We then entered the beautiful tea house decorated with leaves and flowers.Very strong flowers scent.
Wah, lucky never get hayfever

I'm not sure but perhaps they change their flower theme everyday ?
The flower theme when we went, as I read, is Rose.

Nick ordered the housemade dried ginger ale while I ordered their seasonal tea

Okay. Pictures for the instagram and blog starts hahahaha.

Nick had the flower french toast 1000yen while I had the flower parfait

I would highly not  recommend anybody to order the french toast because  IT WAS SO GOOD !!! NOW I FEEL LIKE I CAN'T EAT ANY OTHER FRENCH TOASTS ANYMORE!!!!!

Flower parfait with vanilla ice cream, chocolate brownie, rose jelly. IT WAS SO GOOOD TOOOO!

If I lived in Tokyo, I reckon I would schedule all my meet ups here. It's so beautiful!!!!!!!
And seriously, I would highly recommend any guy to bring a girl here for a first date :p I think success rate probably close to 100% unless you really suck at taking pictures for instagram :p

TOKYO: Eiswalt Gelato

We found a new shop to add onto our Harajuku eats guide !

Eiswalt gelato, initially from Los Angeles, has opened a brunch in Tokyo!

I was initially making my way to harajuku to try this new ice cream place called " the zoo" which sells ice cream shaped as animals. However, right at the start of takeshita dori was Eiswalt Gelato, which also sells ice cream shaped into animals.
I mean, like, okay, my main aim of buying of one this ice cream is for instagram right? So if there's a shop right in front of me, of course I'll buy it from the shop instead of maneuvreing takeshita dori looking for this particular shop.

So the moral of the story is: if you ever open a shop, unless you're selling something really special that no one else is selling, open it in a convenient area.

HOW CUTE ARE THESE ANIMALS GELATO?!

TOKYO: Harajuku ( Com Crepes コムクレープ原宿店 , Zaku Zaku ザクザク, Coisof, Eiswalt Gelato )

So I always make a trip to Harajuku regardless how time tight I am when I'm in Japan. It's near Meiji Jingu shrine which is a plus point because I visit the shrine every trip, sometimes maybe twice a trip because it's just so calming ! It gives me such inner peace!

I always eat the same thing when I'm in Harajuku - THE CREPES! and this time I actually tried other desserts there.

I've previously blogged about the famous 3 crepes places here - Harajuku Takeshita Dori ( click) , and Marion crepe & Cafe crepe Harajuku

I'm gonna introduce a new crepe place to you today!

Please don't ask me which one is better, because crepe is crepe la ok. They all taste good haha.

This is a newly opened crepe called comcrepe. It's making the japanese go crazy because instead of the usual cream and banana or strawberry or ice cream, this is a creme brulee crepe !

The second place I'm gonna introduce is Zaku Zaku. I remember first seeing it 3 years ago and holy cow, the queue was so long, I did not bother.

Zaku Zaku is a store that specialises in unique cream puffs using the freshest ingredients from Hokkaido.

I bought both their soft serve as well as their Croquant Choux. What is croquant choux you may ask? It means crispy cream puff. And FYI, zaku zaku means crunchy. So there you go, crunchy crispy cream puffs :D

1 croquant choux - 280yen
1 soft serve - 450yen

I still recommend Cremia over this soft serve anytime.

FYI, Cremia is my FAVOURITE original flavour ice cream. There was once I saw this influencer type something on instagram that was along the lines of " got my hopes so high but was disappointed " I almost wanted to create a fake account and flame her. LOL. This is how much I LOVE cremia. I would even consider doing something so irrational.

And the third place, which has been making waves on instagram is none other than this super instagrammable ice cream shop Coisof. I actually also call this style of ice cream Turd Looking ice cream.

Very instagrammable :D Didn't taste too bad either (: They serve 3 different flavours - white sesame, black sesame, and mix of white and black sesame. Their sesame ice cream come from specialist purveyors Gomaya Kuki. Interestingly enough, their name combines the japanese words for " love " and " richness" both pronounced Koi. And their drawcard is the " love soft cream", a Kagawa prefecture speciality said to invite love into one's life and decorated with colourful toppings sprinkled on top of the ice cream.
So if you're looking to have some steamy romance hehehehhehe, best make a beeline for this shop :p

Fourth place to recommend is this new gelato joint which first opened in LA.
How can you ever bear to eat such cute gelato?! And the best part is, unlike some things which are good to look only, this also tastes really good !
