TOKYO: Naniwaya Souhonten

I've never been a fan of red beans since young. I reckon it was a case of having force fed them so much when I was younger, I sort of have this PTSD whenever I see red beans. However, things changed when I tasted Japan's azuki red beans. I'm a huge fan now ( not ordinary red beans btw, just only a fan of japanese azuki beans )

Located near our AzabuJuban apartment is this famous Taiyaki( fish shape snack filled with heaps of azuki bean fillings) shop that has been in operation since 1909! Can you imagine, your kids, your grandkids etc etc just doing the same thing for more than 100 years!
Anyway, I drop by this place almost everyday before I set off to do whatever I have to do for the day. I LOVE THIS RED BEAN FISH !!!
I remember there was once I rocked up shortly after they opened for the day, and was denied 1 purchase. All I wanted was 1 fish, but they refused to sell it to me because " someone ordered 300, I am making theirs now"

300?!?! YOU FEEDING WHOLE VILLAGE, BRO?!

I know you're probably thinking, surely they could sell me 1 fish? I mean how long is 1 fish gonna take? I thought the same, but oh wells.

I wouldn't purposely make a trip here for this, but, if you're in the vicinity, definitely drop by!
