ADELAIDE: Sean's Kitchen

Had dinner with my best friend at Sean's Kitchen on Friday. It's somewhere I always wanted to go but somehow I remember when they first opened it was so difficult to get a reservation ! I gave up after that.

Sean's Kitchen is located just beside Adelaide casino ( not the reason why we decided to go there ! Actually ... no, that's exactly the reason. louis wanted to show me this Asian " enclosure " with 2 lion stature in front ) he was like " look at all your people in the enclosure ! "

Getting ready for my date with my best friend.

Looking thoughtfully thru the menu.

Right now till April, Sean's Kitchen is having their crab special !

Crab pie. Pretty good actually

We had squid and pork for starters. I loved the squid ! It was cooked to perfection!

1.1 kg of lamb shoulder. I was initially skeptical because I'm not a fan of lamb PLUS it was liquorice gravy eeewwww I hate liquorice ! But I know louis really liked lamb so I compromised I said if I could try the sauce first and if it's okay then we'll have it.
The liquorice taste wasn't strong so yup haha.
Had such a hard time finishing it but I think we did well, we probably had 1/8 left.

Love love love the winelist here ! I'm usually not a huge drinker, I do have a mild allergy to alcohol I think ( I get itch) other than My inferior Asian genes which makes me go red like a lobster.
But I couldn't resist a Moscato and can you believe it, for dessert, instead of having a proper dessert ( to be fair their dessert menu just couldn't cut it for me ), I had another glsss of wine.

THEY  SERVE  Mount Horrocks!

that's my favourite favourite absolute favourite dessert wine, and I can't think of any restaurant I've been to anywhere which serve it!

Our bill came up to $217 for both of us. Would I go again to Sean's, I don't think so. I believe I could have better food with
$217. But, the place was pretty, fitting for a date :D
