ADELAIDE: Max brenner

I remember when I used to live in Melbourne, I used to visit these 3 places for chocolates 1) Koko black 2) max brenner 3) San churros

And when I first came to Adelaide, THERE WERE NONE OF THESE THINGS ! there was only cocolat which I simply hate because once they gave me a chocolate milkshake with a layer of oil and some other chocolate shops which I can't remember the name of. There was a good one on union street but it closed down, I had many memories of the " death by chocolate " there lol 

Anyway, Koko black and San churros opened up last year.  And max Brenner finally opened this year ! 

I have been going there probably twice a week now for the chocolate milkshake and lime granita, which is super refreshing. Perfect for hot days like last week. 

 

I've been going so frequently till Nicholas bought me one of this Drink Me Alice cup and some chocolates so that I could make my own milkshake at home. But WHUT ?! I'm not a milkshake maker, I'm super lazy so I rather spend the $8.60. 

Sometimes they ask you " do you want whipped cream " PLEASE SAY NO. Unless you are super rich and have so much cash to burn. 

I made the mistake of saying yes once, they don't tell you it's charged! And then while you're paying you suddenly realise WTF WHIPPED CREAM COST $1.50 ?!?! But I'm Asian, " face " is very important to me, so despite burning up from inside, slowly turning into a volcano, I handed over my credit card with a smile. Wtf 

WTF WTF WTF 

$1.50 for whipped cream ?! I could go to Coles and buy whipped cream for $4 and it can be used on at least 10 cups !! I find $1.50 totally unjustifiable!!!!! 

Anyway, the other day I also tried the tutti fruit Waffles which was a disappointment 

It looked pretty, yes. But the waffle is by far the worst one I've eaten. It's so crumbly ! 

I would definitely recommend going to St. Louis house of fine ice cream for waffles instead :) 

Plus I had real bad diarrhoea the next morning which led me to question ? Milk or fruits were unclean ???
