KYOTO: Salon De The Au Grenier D'or

Alright, its no secret that I'm a huge fan of sweets. In fact, if you were to have a look at all my Japan itineraries, its just packed to the bream with dessert must trys.
So, it goes without saying that I was hunting down patisseries during my trip to Kyoto.

One of a must go place in Kyoto is Nishiki market.

There you can find various dried goods and some seafood products. Definitely the variety is not as good as Tsukiji market. But its still a good place to explore. And conveniently, an 80 year old machiya has been renovated into an elegant mix of Japanese and Western style cafe selling intricately made french pastries and cakes.

I was definitely spoilt of choices! In the end, I went for this Yuzu cake which was absolutely heavenly.
Paired with one of their floral tea.
Yum, PERFECT for an afternoon gossip session with the girlfriends! :p
