TOKYO: Sushi Bentomi 寿司弁富

I've always said that Tokyo is my favourite city to be in the whole wide world. There's so many things to do, there's so many things to eat, transportation is top notch, the people are friendly and considerate. Air is good. So many things are organised and aesthetically pleasing.

Why wasn't I born and raised in Tokyo I wonder?
Everytime when I'm there, I feel like I'm home.

One of the must dos is to make a trip down to Tsukiji Market when you're in Tokyo. And some people treat going to Sushi Dai or Sushi Daiwa ( check my post out here)  in Tsukiji like a pilgrimage. However, if you have been out and hitting the city till late everynight, HOW TO WAKE UP AT 4am and queue for Sushi Dai / Daiwa? Messing up circadian rhythm you know, which is very very very dangerous ! :p

At 7am, this is how sushi Dai looks. And this is when signs have been already been put up at 6ish to say the lines have closed. Please stop joining the queue. Or something to that extent.

WTF, Look at the queue already feel like fainting.

But don't be disappointed, there are still many other sushi joints in Tsukiji which are really good as well.
An example of one, is Sushi Bentomi, which is just a few doors down from Sushi Dai. Btw, this kaisen don restaurant just beside sushi bentomi as seen in the picture below, Tsukiji Ooedo (大江戸 ) is a seafood bowl specialty store which I also highly recommend. Check out their website here!

There are different sets available, but I always say go for the chef Omakase set (3600yen)

Very good selection. Has my favourite Ikura and Uni and Akagai. There wasn't any Otoro served in this set, but you could always add it as an extra.

Extremely satisfied after my meal ! :D
