TOKYO: Sushi Daiwa

What comes to one's mind when you mention Tokyo?
Apart from the pretty and cute girls, the next thing is SUSHI ! And where's that one place that pops up in your head when you think of sushi?

JIRO !

If Jiro was the first you thought about, I applaud you. You have not lived on this world in vain. BUT we'll leave the Jiro post to when I can FINALLY get a reservation (hopefully soon! Because Jiro is getting old you know..... ) Nonetheless, you can check out my trip to Jiro's son's restaurant in Roppongi. (Click)

Today I'll be blogging about SUSHI DAIWA in Tsukiji Market.
You ought to be ashamed of yourself if you have been to Tokyo but have not heard or been to Tsukiji.
There are many sushi restaurants in Tsukiji, and to be honest, I'm sure any of the sushi restaurants you go to, even the chain restaurant Sushi Zanmai ( oh i love sushi zanmai, I never fail to frequent sushi zanmai whenever I fly in in the middle of the night) are really good. But there's 2 restaurants whereby queues are insane and they are Sushi Dai and Sushi Daiwa. Conveniently, there are located a side by side, so if you are in a group of 2 or more, you may divvy up the work maybe some queue for Dai and some queue for Daiwa and see who gets in first :p

So the reason why sushi Dai and Daiwa are so popular is because they're cheap for the quality of fish they use. It's also compounded by the fact that its just human nature to go for things that have very long queues right? Because long queue = its popular and popular = good? I mean, nobody ever queues for shit food right? :/

We took the first train and reached about 6.30am on a weekday and there were heaps of people in front of us. But we must have had many hungry eaters in front because the queue surprisingly moved really quickly. Only had to queue for half an hour before we got in.

As you can see, it's not a very big area.

Omakase kudasai ~

After the omakase, you have an opportunity to add extra items. I chose to add the akagai (500yen).
I would definitely add more toro and uni the next time I return, in fact maybe ill say Moikkai Onegaishimasu (another round of omakase please) hehe

Chef KAWAII desu ne ! Gochisosamadeshita!
Doesn't he just look So cute? He looks like a wise smurf, and speaks really cute too.
I like this chef, just looking at him makes me happy
I would return again or moikkai onegaishimasu just to watch his face  him work his craft

Lastly,
Thank you Lord, for making tunas exist. Amen.
Thank you Tuna, for dying for me. RIP.
