SINGAPORE: Hashida Sushi

Nick and I hardly eat sushi whenever we are in Singapore even though we have heaps of cravings. Actually nah, all sushi cravings can be suppressed when there's good hawker food so readily available. ORH LUAH AH ORH LUAH! CHAR KUEY TEOW! CHYE TAO KUEY!
But yes, we hardly eat sushi back home because the price is just ridiculously expensive!

I suppose the only high end sushi places we've been to in Singapore are: Japanese Association ( because Nick's a member), Shinji by Kanasaka and Hashida Sushi.

We decided to have LUNCH at Hashida because I'll be honest, I can't bring myself to part with $500++ for the Omakase Dinner set.

There's 4 lunch menu sets in Hashida

TSUBAKI ($80)

ALWAYS GO FOR THE MOST EXPENSIVE.

My ootoro was sliced from this wonderful slab. Thank you BlueFin for dying for me.

With Hashida himself !

Uni Ikura rice bowl
Look at how I've 2 different coloured Ikura ( orange and golden)
Chef says this golden ikura only comes in for a season of 2 weeks per year.

I think Hashida was good, yes. But because Nick and I travel to Japan so often in a year... Doesn't really make sense for us to be splurging so much on sushi in Singapore when 250SGD ( + top up little bit more) could get us a DINNER meal at Sukiyabashi Jiro @ Roppongi.
But yeah, if you're someone who's too busy to fly to Japan, and obviously earning enough to allow splurges at fine restaurants, then yes, I recommend. Please try the $500++ meal for me, thanks!
