TOKYO: Dominique Ansel Bakery post 2

We are back at Dominique Ansel! Decided to grab a quick breakfast here before we start our shopping along omotesando. Ever since my last meal here ( click) , I've been dreaming about their molten omelette soufle and I've been raving to Nicholas about it. Nicholas visited this place a few months back and HE COMMITTED A HUGE CRIME, HE DID NOT ORDER THE OMELETTE SOUFFLE.

Sigh, you know what they say about opportunity? Opportunities do not come knocking on your door twice...
They sold out on omelette souffle......

So we decided to order boring avocado on toast. I mean, you can't go wrong with avocado. Avocado taste so good that's why people my age are unable to afford houses - because we spend all our money on avocado on toast :p

Because I need to have eggs in my breakfast, I ordered the "perfect  little egg sandwich"

Also went with lobster roll because nobody can resist lobster rolls :D BTW, we went to queue up for Luke Lobster immediately after having our breakfast here because I just can't say NO to lobster rolls!

And their famous (expensive) Frozen smore!

Okay ending it off with their famous...
CRONUT

Which to be honest, second time having a cronut and I've come to the conclusion that cronuts aren't really my kind of thing haha.

Alright, with this trip, I guess I've tried most of their signature dishes already, time to return back the third time this December for their omelette souffle again and time to try the cookie shot !

TOKYO: Dominique Ansel Bakery

Close friends will know that I have an immense fear of flying. It's really stupid given that travel by aeroplane is supposedly the safest mode of transport if we take into account death statistics. Hence, all my travels are mostly around South East Asia. I remember those flights to UK and USA previously were simply too much for me to bear.
The stress everytime the pilot comes on the overhead, and worst, I CAN NEVER FALL ASLEEP ON PLANE. Even when flying business, on the flat bed, I hardly fall asleep.

Hence, there's simply no way I was going to make the trip to New York or London to try the creator of cronuts.
I was so happy when they Dominique Ansel made the announcement that he was going to open a bakery in TOKYO !
BTW, I heard they change their menu every 6-8 weeks

There's 2 level to this Omotesando Branch. (There's another branch in Ginza but I don't think there's a sit down area hmmm.)  The bottom one, being the cheaper option. Opt to sit at the top, there's more things in the menu, however, vaguely from memory there's either a cover charge or a minimum spend.
I came around 11am for Brunch.

Very happy, must take picture in front of the store.

I can never say NO to Lobster roll! Even though I know Luke's lobster is a stone throw away from Dominique.

Far right: MUST GET molten omelette souffle

CRONUT!
I've never been a fan of cronuts, but, come on, if you're at the creator of cronuts, you HAVE to get the cronut.
Still not a fan of cronut after having this.
BTW, they come out with new flavours every month.

Baked Apple Pie Alaska
Was told that I HAVE to order this. Have never been a fan of Alaskas, this was unfortunately still unable to change my mind.

Mind you, I was a table for one, because Nick was working and I decided to make an impromtu trip to Tokyo myself. I know there's heaps of other MUST ORDER dishes including 1) the perfect little egg sandwich 2) Cookie Shot 3) Frozen Smore's
Will come back on my next trip with Nick to try more !
