There's so many reasons to why I love Japan so much, but one of them is their fantastic markets! I love how it's so organised, I can find so many things in a single location, the produce are fresh, good pricing and best of all IT IS CLEAN.
Nishiki market is perhaps the most popular market in Kyoto. It's swamped with tourists and locals day in day out.
If you were to google Nishiki market, you will be faced with many recommendations. To be honest, I don't have any specific must eat stores - I do have a must not eat store tho haha, I didn't like the soy bean donuts which many people are recommending oh wells - All the fresh sashimi and seafood stalls all look amazing, I've tried a couple and they were all good.
( I do apologise for the lack of pictures. This is because, I was dragged up at an ungodly time of 5am by Nick to make our way to Kiyomizu Dera to watch the sunrise. And I was so tired by the time we got to Nishiki Market )
Kiyomizu dera is very pretty by the way. Also, because we were there so early, there was less than 5 humans in the compound including us and the ticket seller..... and so we managed to get heaps of good shots without photobombers.
NISHIKI MARKET !!!

Fresh abalone !
Went a little crazy at a seafood place with abalone, uni, sashimi
We chanced across this oyster specialty store. It was so good ! If you're an oyster lover, you should definitely check this place out !
