ADELAIDE: Malobo

Okay, I don't know about you, but I feel like I wasn't born to work. Because at the end of every work day, I feel like I have been sucked dry and by the end of my 7th work day, I feel like my soul has totally left my body.
I'm currently doing a 7 on, 7 off rotation. When I'm working, I woke for 12.5 hours a day wtf

Yesterday was the last day of my 7 on before I'm off on 3 weeks ANNUAL LEAVE! yay !
To be honest I'm having a bit of a bitter sweet feeling here. I'm so excited because I get to celebrate Christmas with my family but at the same time, Nick didn't manage to get any leave during this period, and so he will be alone during Christmas and New Year, WORKING.
How sad is that ):

ANYWAY, a friend recently told me about this place facing Henley beach.
Unfortunately, I haven't managed to get a beach body for the last 26 years, so there won't be any sexy bikini pictures of me here okay.
You just get to see my WIND IN MY HAIR, DON'T CARE face
But you'll free to stick around and read this blog ( if it still exists) for a couple more years, maybe I'll get that beach body :p

My alcohol intake has definitely increased this year. And you do know something is wrong when you leave work and people start telling you " Happy christmas and new year! Enjoy your leave! Don't drink so much alcohol! " oops.

Seared scallops $20

Chowder $26
THIS CHOWDER IS SO GOOD!
I'm a huge fan of chowder by the way, anybody has any good recipes? :D

Pulled pork pizza $20

Fried cauliflower $16

I'm at this stage of my life where I'm unsure where I want to be. I'm at this stage of my career where it's possible for me to abandon everything here and start anew somewhere.
I really love asia. I grew up in bustling Singapore, where I will never be hungry because there's food 24/7 available. There's things to do at night. But it's so difficult to feel totally relaxed when everybody, everything is so fast paced.
Australia on the other hand, is so chilled paced. When I need my internet to get set up, it takes 1 month. When there's something wrong with my hot water heater, it takes 2 days to get fixed and I smell more and more rotten as the clock ticks hmm.
But when I get off work, and drive myself down to the beach, I see happy people everyday. They're just grabbing a beer, walking their dog etc. Everybody looks so relaxed.

So I have a dream. okay, I have many dreams - one is to have a beach body HAHAHAH, the others are to own my own clinic, and to have a beachside holiday house etc.
So I googled how much it cost to own a house/apartment overlooking Henley Beach. A 2 room 2 bathroom 2 carpark apartment cost 700,000AUD.
I think I could afford that within the next 10 years...

DECISIONS DECISIONS.
