So the FIRST TIME I was ever in Nagoya few years ago, before taking the Shinkansen, I remember passing by this shop which sold really good matcha chocolates. However, I didn't know what the shop name was. The only clue I had was that I remember the box had " chacolate" written on it. Went mad googling on this, but found NOTHING.
So I told myself that since I will be Nagoya for awhile this time, I AM GOING TO FIND THIS SHOP. AND BUY UP ALL THEIR CHOCOLATES.
Asked my colleagues in hospital, nobody knew what I was talking about. But 老天不负苦心人,by some weird chance, I happened to walk past it one day when I was just loitering the malls.
YES YES YES YES YES!
It's not cheap, it cost 650yen for 5 small pieces.
But I think I bought 6 boxes.
3 matcha flavour
3 genmaicha flavour ( Didn't remember them having this flavour few years ago)
So the service staff said, these chocolates are winter specials. You will never be able to get them in summer.
WAH, hear already I just had to buy more. In the end, I bought 12 boxes in total. hahahaha.
Buy 12 boxes, get 1 matcha tea free ( hahaha, I don't know whats the deal la, but after I bought 12 boxes they told me to sit in their teahouse for a complimentary drink lol)
Was my favourite green tea chocolate and still is.
Can't wait to go back in 2.5 months time and devour the whole shop !
Myokoen Tea House (click to visit their website)
They have multiple branches it seems
But this one here is the Sun Road branch (Underground shopping meal near meitetsu nagoya station)
