PERTH: Co-op Dining

Second day in Perth!
Uber-ed up to King's park because I've been told the view from the top is AMAZING.

Dinner tonight was at Co-op Dining. Had zero expectations of this place because I've already tried the #1 restaurant Wildflower the night before and wasn't wow-ed. And, there were only 3 tables occupied, including me. So.... Singaporean mentality la huh, nobody eat ah? Means sure not good.
Opted for the degustation $130 per pax

Staring the meal with sparkling is always good.

I'm sorry, but I would never be able to replicate what the waiter said about each of the dish. I mean, fine dining after all is: when service staff starts speaking in an incomprehensible lingo which you nod to in fascination and enthusiasm but in reality both of you know that nobody actually understands what is going on, isnt it? :p

I EAT MY WORDS. I really enjoyed this meal, in fact, I remember texting Nicholas that I enjoyed this meal more than wildflower!

Very happy after the meal. As happy as how I felt after queueing for 30minutes to get a picture with blue boat house :D

PERTH: Wildflower @ Como

Went for my first work related trip interstate to Perth! And I have always believed that when you are holidaying *cough*, you have to stay well and eat the best.

Managed to snag a table for 1 at Wildflower. Named 2017 #1 Restaurant in WA and #65 in Australia, it's housed in this really pretty ( and expensive ) hotel.

I opted for their 5 course seasonal tasting menu ($145 per pax) because seriously if you're a table for 1, its stupid to order a la carte.
It was really busy for a week day I thought. And I looked around, I was the only table for 1. And I hate it, absolutely hated it when the staff kept coming by me to ask if the food was okay. I guess it's a nice gesture, maybe they did that so that at least I was able to interact with humans during my whole dinner experience lol. But yes, I guess I would prefer if I was left alone, in the comfort of my iphone haha.
Oh, not to mention, there was this dude from the table just across me who kept looking over and staring at me, I felt so uncomfortable, I was so freaked out.

Started the night of with some cocktail, yes!

I seriously thought my night was going to shit because this first dish was extremely terrible. It sent the couple next to me choking/coughing for a good 2 minutes.
Terrifying start.

BEST BREAD + BUTTER.

Blue swimmer crab, avocado, preserved kohlrabi, sea blight, macadamia, finger lime
THIS WAS SO GOOD

BIG PRAWNS my my.

Berkshire pork, sweet white onion, sour quandong and mustard

Beef

Chocolate

Overall, a good meal apart from the first course. However, hmm, #1 restaurant in WA, really? I don't know.
